여기는 도무지 어느 나라인지
거기는 태고와 전승하는 판도가 있을 뿐
여기는 폐허
피라미드와 같은 코
그 구멍으로는 '유구한 것'이 드나들고
공기는 퇴색되지 않아
그것은 선조가 혹은 내 전신이 호흡하던 바로 그것
동공에는 창공이 의고하여 있으니 태고의 영상의 약도
여기는 아무 기억도 유언되어 있지는 않다
문자가 닳아 없어진 석비처럼 문명에 잡다한 것이 귀를 그냥 지나갈 뿐
누구는 이것이 데드마스크라고
또 누구는 데드마스크는 도적맞았다고도

죽음은 서리와 같이 내려
풀이 말라 버리듯이 수염은 자라지 않은 채 거칠어
천기 모양 따라 입은 큰 소리로 외친다
